I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified art therapist with over two decades of experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. I have worked with individuals and families that are struggling with a variety of difficulties that bring them to counseling, including trauma, acute stress, grief and loss, depression, self-esteem, and anxiety. I believe strongly in people’s individual ability to recover, regardless of the challenges they have faced.
I work collaboratively with clients, utilizing a person centered approach that combines verbal and non-verbal modalities. Art therapy often allows clients to work in metaphor, and address things that may be difficult to articulate solely with words. Sessions are individualized, to foster optimal healing and growth.
In my spare time I enjoy creating art, watching movies, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and my Boston Terrier.
